Serie A champions Napoli are preparing to tie Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen down at the club for another season amid reports of the Super Eagles star wanted by clubs like Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain.
The former Lille striker was impressive last season at Napoli netting 26 goals and helping the side to win the Scudetto after 33 years since they last won it.
Osimhen's performances last term for Napoli caught the attention of many clubs who are looking for ways to get his services in the summer transfer window.
According to the reports on Soccernet, Osimhen has been offered a new two-year contract extension with a salary worth N6.5bn — €6.5m plus €1m in bonuses.
Osimhen has made it clear that he wants to win the Champions League in the coming season.
“I’ve won one of the most prestigious titles in world football. And I won it with a club that appreciates the little things you do for them.
“Winning the Scudetto is a big one for me. Whatsoever thing that comes after this (will also be) a big one for me, like the Champions League, the League Cup, and all sorts.''
