NBA Star LeBron James' 18-year-old son Bronnie Collapse During a Workout

The Lakers superstar's son was Monday, July 24, hospitalized after an incident occurred during a practice at the University of Southern California (USC).

Bronnie, who recently joined the Trojans, was taken by ambulance from the University of Southern California Galen Center, where the school's basketball team plays and practices.

The 18-year-old Combo guard is gearing up for his first season of college basketball at the University of Southern California.

The incident is believed to have been a Code 3, and the need for ambulance lights and sirens indicates the severity of the call.

"Yesterday, Bronnie James suffered a cardiac arrest while training," his family said in a statement.

"Medical staff were able to treat Bronnie and take him to hospital. His condition is now stable and he is not in the intensive care unit."

"We respect the James family and respect their privacy and will update the media as more information becomes available."

"LeBron and Savannah (Bronnie's parents) would like to publicly express their deep appreciation to the medical and sports staff at the University of Southern California for their excellent work and commitment to the safety of their athletes."

Emergency services were called out at 9:26 a.m., according to TMZ Sports. Bronnie passed out at the Galen Center, where the team practices and plays, and was taken to hospital by ambulance.

The All-American high school player signed a deal last month to play at USC out of a desire to play on the big stage with his father, a four-time NBA champion.

NBA players like Trae Young and Jalen Brunson have tweeted their support and prayers for James.
