Chelsea have reportedly decided against signing Manchester United centre-back Harry Maguire this summer.
Maguire is currently staring at an uncertain future at Old Trafford after falling down the pecking order under Erik ten Hag.
The England international was recently stripped of the United captaincy in what was the clearest sign the embattled defender may not be part of Ten Hag's plans ahead of next season.
The move is understood to have left the former Leicester City defender 'angry and shocked', sparking rumours he could dump the Red Devils.
Goal reports that the development saw Chelsea join the hunt for the Englishman, with new boss Mauricio Pochettino desperate to strengthen his team.
However, fresh reports indicate the Blues have ruled out a summer move for the 30-year-old defender.
The Guardian claims that Pochettino has decided against pursuing Maguire, with the publication revealing the west Londoners would prefer a deal for Crystal Palace ace Marc Guehi.
Palace are understood to be willing to sell the defender as long as they make a "significant profit" on the defender.
The 23-year-old has enjoyed a significant rise to prominence since his move to Selhurst Park in 2021.
Meanwhile, Newcastle United and West Ham are the other two sides believed to be interested in signing Maguire.
