An electrician, identified simply as Tajudeen, reportedly committed suicide at his home in the Sabo community of Ijebu Ode, Ogun state last Friday, July 21.
The deceased, who lost his wife two years ago, was found dead in his apartment with a rope around his neck and tied to a ceiling fan.
Neighbors said the children were out of town when Tajudeen "killed himself".
The reason for his actions is still unknown.
The State Police Command has not yet commented on the development.
