President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has on Tuesday officially presented to the public the Nigeria Visa Policy (NVP) for the year 2020.
However, the President said the review of the visa policy is to improve the country's economy and create more jobs for the citizens.
"My mission is to take 100 million Nigerians out of poverty and with the help of this new policy I will achieve my aim before 2023," Buhari said.
Below are things to know about the Buhari's 2020 visa policy
1. The new visa policy will have a direct impact on Nigeria's economy.
2. To attract more Foreign direct Investors into Nigeria.
3. The 2020 visa policy was finally signed today 4th of February 2020 by President Buhari
4. To create more jobs for Nigerians.
5. It will strengthen Nigeria's position as a key economy in Africa by attracting more FDIs into the country.
6. the new visa policy will complement President Muhammadu Buhari's commitment to take 100 million Nigerians out of poverty in the next 10 years.
7. It is a visa On arrival for African Union nationals, increase in the classes of visas from 6 to 75, creation of visa codes for all classes of visa and introduction of e-visas.
