BREAKING: Ruga settlement is for Nigerians benefit - Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari of the all progressive congress [APC] has responded to Nigerians who kicked against the new ruga settlement policy.



According to president Buhari in a briefing with journalists, he said I know a lot of Nigerians are not in support with the new policy for Fulani herdsmen to settle in their land but i must say it is for the good of all Nigerians because this will make businesses go well around the country.



Fulani herdsmen will not attack anyone if they are not attacked first, this ruga settlement is to end the war between the Fulani herdsmen and the farmers.



President Buhari also added that the federal government won't impose the idea on any state.









However, he congratulates other states for taking the step and offers land for the project.



THEWATCH NEWS reports that “So far, 12 states have applied to the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, making lands available for the take-off of the scheme in their states.



According to THEWATCH NEWS beneficiaries will include all persons in animal husbandry, not only Fulani herders.



The federal government is planning this in order to curb open grazing of animals that continue to pose security threats to farmers and herders.









The S'east governors and the south-south are still on the 'No' stand saying that, there is no free land for fulani herdsmen in their state.



Thousands of Nigerian have been killed by the Fulani herdsmen, many have lost their love once, friends, mothers, fathers, and siblings for the Nigerian president to approve this kind of policy is to cause more killings in the country because of 70 percent of those Fulani herdsmen are not Nigerians. This policy is to smuggle migrants illegally and that might turn Nigeria into a country where its citizens won't have a place to call home.
