Police Grants Cultist Amnesty in Ogun State

The Ogun State Police Command has set up an amnesty window for cultists in the state who wish to renounce their involvement in social vices and surrender all their guns and ammunition in custody.

The command said it is aware that some people have been lured into cultism without knowing the consequences and have fallen into traps as a result.

This was announced in a short statement posted to the official Twitter account on Thursday afternoon.

The statement called on cult members who wish to leave the cult group to call 09159578888.

“If they don't have courage, they can confide in their parent/guardian. To be forewarned is to be forearmed.”

Meanwhile, a 21-year-old cultist, Saka Olawale has been arrested.

Saka was apprehended while planning to cause havoc in the Ogijo area of Ogun State.

Upon interrogation, he has confessed to being a member of the dreaded Aiye confraternity.
