Highest Paid NBA Players For The 2023/24 Season

Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry will be the first player to make $50 million per year next season. Portland Trail Blazers superstar Damian Lillard will make a staggering $60 million in the 2026-27 season. Lillard recently requested a trade from the Blazers.

In the past decade, the NBA’s salary cap, the amount of money a team can pay players on its roster has more than doubled with annual average cap increases of 8.2%.

As league revenue increases, the salary cap goes up, and many expect salaries to increase significantly, especially with a new TV deal on the horizon. We could see players like Luka Doncic, Ja Morant, and Zion Williamson make $70 million per season.

To put that in perspective, LeBron James made $14.5 million in his first season with the Miami Heat in 2010. James is now one of the few NBA athletes to become a billionaire.

Two-time MVP Nikola Jokic signed a five-year $264 million deal last summer, making it the richest contract in NBA history. He brought the NBA title to Denver for the first time in June.

However, he will not be the highest-paid player in the league next season. That honor goes to four-time NBA champion Stephen Curry.

Veterans Kevin Durant, LeBron James, Damian Lillard, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kawhi Leonard, and Paul George make the top 10.
