The Anambra State Government awarded a scholarship to Miss Nkechinyere Umeh, an indigene of the state who scored the state's highest score in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
The state Commissioner for Education, Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, said in a report from awka that Umeh scored 360 in the examination.
Chuma-Udeh said that the student recieved a scholarship from the state government to study any course of her choice at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University.
“Nkechinyere Umeh has been declared the a top student at UTME 2023 with a score of 360 by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board.
“This is proof that efforts by Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s administration to reposition the education sector are yielding the desired dividend.
The commissioner said that Soludo’s administration would continue to pay serious attention to education in the state.
