BREAKING: I'm glad you have addressed the nation on Coronavirus — Fani-Kayode tells Buhari

A Former minister of aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has on Thursday said he is glad for the decision taken by President Muhammadu Buhari for addressing the nation on Covid-19 that is currently spreading all over the globe.



The former minister took to his verified Twitter&n account @RealFFK saying, I am glad Buhari has addressed the nation but he must put the country under lockdown, close all schools, public institutions, courts, private companies, shops, Churches, Mosques, airports, seaports etc.



According to Mr Kayode only hospitals, isolation centres and security outfits should be left open.



Femi Fani-Kayode added that Buhari should also insist that people should practice the highest standard of hygiene, stock up food, stay in their homes, self-isolate, indulge in social- spacing, avoid unnecessary physical contact, pray hard, not panic and be strong. Life is sacred and prevention is better than cure," he said.



However, reports says it that a new cases of Covid-19 discovered in Lagos has a result of total number of eight persons have been tested positive of the virus.









Kayode claimed that there is only one thing worse than coronavirus: that is the vaccine that is used to treat it. According to him is the real killer.



According to world health organisation (WHO) the virus will soon take over African countries as the virus spread fast all over the world with the total record of 6,000 dead and 200, 000 people tested positive.



The Lagos state government has announced the closedown of schools in the state to fight against the deadly disease from spreading.



Other African countries like Togo, Ghana, South Africa others have recorded their dead since the Coronavirus outbreak.



Our correspondent ( Eric Patrick) gathered that  since the Coronavirus outbreak Nigeria has not recorded any dead as eight people have been tested positive.









President Muhammadu Buhari, addressing the nation said the federal government is doing everything possible to ensure the safety of the people.



President Buhari, however, said Nigeria has placed travel ban on all United States and Europe travellers and has promised to close all borders. According to reports 67 counties are been affected.
