Policeman slit man's throat in Lagos

Olalekan Ogunsanya, an interior decorator who was attacked and his throat was slit by a Nigerian policeman, identified as ASP Francis, during an argument in the Itire area of Lagos State.



I'm grateful to God for still keeping me alive but I demand justice for the attack Ogunsanya said.



An eyewitness, Samuel Agbolajo, posted details of the incident on his Facebook page, in a Facebook chat with our correspondent (Eric Patrick) Samuel said that Ogunsanya was attacked by Francis during an argument.









While having an interview with him, the victim Ogunsanya told (Eric Patrick) that he never knew Francis was a Police officer. On that faithful day, there was traffic and I passed in front of his car since vehicles were not on speed and I touched his car he Francis started harassing me. Inside the car was his wife, kids he said.



Agbolajo revealed, Francis was arrested at the Itire Police Division, where the case was reported, but the crime was covered up and the Police Division released Francis.



This has caused angry Nigerians on Facebook to react, condemned Francis’ action after seeing the gory pictures of the victim undergoing an operation to save his life.









According to our correspondent (Eric Patrick) after investigation said, Ogunsanya survived the attack.



We learnt that Francis was attached to the G1 Section, Force Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department annexe, Alagbon, Ikoyi, Lagos.
