Police arrest man for killing wife over N100 in Lagos

The Lagos State Police has arrested a 38-year-old man identified as Kuye for allegedly beating up and smashing the head of one Precious Kuye to death who is said to be his wife over N100 in the area of Ketu, Lagos State.



Our correspondent (Eric Patrick) gathered that the suspect smashed his wife's head with a pistol after an argument arose between the spouse.



According to a close neighbour to the deceased who told our correspondent that Kuye is always beating his wife the deceased whenever she demand money for feeding in the house.









A family member of the deceased, Oluwa Kemi who told our correspondent that her sister was making plans to come for their father's burial which will be on 30th of January 2020. This is really a bad news, as we are burying two of our own,' she said.



Our correspondent (Eric Patrick) learnt that Kuye, has been married three times making Precious, the deceased his 3rd wife.



While having an interview with the suspects, he confessed that he was in the influence of alcohol. Kuye, claimed that it was the work of the devil and promised to give his life to God if he leaves detention.



Kuye, already has four kids in his two failed marriage while the deceased Precious, was two months pregnant before she was called by an untimely death.



Kuye, claimed that on that faithful morning she removed N100 from his pocket while washing his clothes without telling him, when I asked, she said she used it to buy garri since I refused to give her money for feeding. With the anger I used a pistol kept in the kitchen to smashed her head.









Speaking with a police DPO Efraim, she told our correspondent that the suspect will be taken to court for murder.
