Tension in UK parliament as PM Johnson says ‘No’ to Brexit











British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said he would not seek an extension to Brexit even if the conditions of a recently passed bill were met, forcing him to do so.



In a session that saw emotions riding high, Johnson was booed when he left the chamber as lawmakers debated, despite the house speaker telling him it would be a courtesy to stay.



Britain’s ruling Conservative Party will ask lawmakers to approve a short adjournment of parliament next week due to its annual conference.



Labour MP, Ian Murray said;









“He’s been asked five times this evening if he would abide by all the provisions of the European Union Withdrawal number two bill and he refuses to answer the question. So for the sixth and final time, if he doesn’t get a deal through this house or a no-deal through this house by the 19th of October, will he seek an extension from the European Union to the 31st of January?”



“No.” Boris Johnson said, sitting down
