The Nigerian Army’s counter-insurgency operation, Lafiya Dole Theatre Command has arrested a middle-aged man, Samuel Chikwedum, who is alleged to be the supplier of logistics for Boko Haram terrorists in Borno State.

Army operatives caught the suspect enroute Baga town, heading towards the Lake Chad region with contraband goods.

After he paraded before journalists his goods and vehicle were destroyed.

The GOC 7 division, Brigadier General Aliyu Ibrahim says the suspect had also attempted to bribe personnel at the point of arrest and during interrogation.

Chikwedum however denied the accusations, insisting that his business is legitimate and that he never attempted to bribe his way out of the arrest.

He demanded a fair hearing from the law.

“There is nobody that I have attempted to bribe. What I told about them is the condition of this nation where the judiciary judgement are disobeyed,” he said.
