1. Atiku Abubakar: He is a Nigerian politician, businessman and philanthropist, who served as the 2nd elected Vice-President of Nigeria from 1999 to 2007, on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party, with President Olusegun Obasanjo. Abubakar worked in the Nigeria Customs Service for twenty years, rising to become the Deputy Director, as the second-highest position in the Service was then known.



Atiku has been fighting to become president of the federal republic of Nigeria which also lost to Buhari in the 2019 presidential election. Atiku is still hoping to be Nigerian president.



The former vice president is worth around $1.4b making him one of the richest Nigerian politicians.



2. Rotimi Amaechi: He was born 27 May 1965 and got married to Judith Amaechi in 1993 is the immediate past governor of the river state, he governs the from 2007 to 2015 Amaechi also formerly served as a speaker of the Rivers state house of assembly. Amaechi was the chairman of the All progressive congress campaign team that won the 2019 Presidential election for President Buhari's return to office.



Amaechi is reported to be wealth around $318m making him one of the richest politicians in Nigeria.









3. Ibrahim Kwankwaso:   Engineer Rabi'u Musa popularly known as Rabiu Kwankwaso is a Nigerian politician from Kano state. He was two times Governor of Kano State from 1999–2003 and 2011–2015. Rabiu was the first governor of Kano State in the fourth republic who was elected under the platform of People's Democratic Party.



4.  Goodluck Jonathan:  Goodluck Ebele Jonathan is the immediate past president of the federal republic of Nigeria he held office six years after succeeding the late Musa Ya'radua.



Jonathan lost the 2015 presidential election to President Muhammadu Buhari, the former president is loved by many and was given international recognition for conceding after losing to Buhari in 2015.



It was the first time an incumbent will lose an election in Nigeria, Jonathan holds massive influence in the south-south and in the south-eastern parts of Nigeria.



5. Bukola Saraki:  Olubukola Abubakar Saraki is a former President of Nigeria's Senate and Governor of Kwara State under the platform of the People's Democratic Party from 2003 to 2011. He lost the senatorial seat in the 2019 election after defecting from APC back to his former party PDP.



Saraki was born on 19 December 1962 (age 56 years) and got married to Toyin Saraki.









6. Olusegun Obasanjo:  Born on 5 March 1937 and got married to Stella Obasanjo and Lynda Obasanjo he is a retired general in the Nigeria army and also served as the military the head of state of the country. Obasanjo is often time the most successful politician of all time as he has led Nigeria twice as president first as a military head of state and a civilian president.



Obasanjo has been deployed by the African Union and the  United Nations to observes elections all over the world and also helps to resolve critical issues in some African countries.



The former two terms Nigerian president is worth around  $1.6b making him one of the richest politicians in Nigeria.



7. General Muhammadu Buhari:  Muhamadu Buhari is currently the president of the federal republic of Nigeria and has been in office since 2015 after defeating the former president Goodluck Jonathan.



In 2019 President Buhari was given another chance to run for the second term under All progressive congress APC which he won his main opponent Atiku Abubakar of the People's democratic party [ PDP]. Buhari was born 17 December 1942 [ age 76 according to him] he got married to Aisha Buhari in 1989.



Buhari retired from the Nigeria Army as a major general he previously served as the nation's head of state from 31st of  December 1983 - 27 august 1985 after gripping power in the military code. Buhari is the second influential politician in Nigeria.









8. Bola Ahmed Tinubu:  Tinubu is a Nigerian politician who was elected senator for the Lagos West Constituency in Lagos State, Nigeria in 1993. The election was just prior to a military take-over in December 1993. He was born on 29 March 1952 and married  Oluremi Tinubu.



Tinubu is the political heavyweight whos masters in politics is widely acknowledged within and outside the country. His influence in Lagos state is obvious as he has singled handily picked governors in the state for years. He is credited to be one of the main brains that led to the emergence of the current ruling party in Nigeria known as the APC.



Tinubu is widely acknowledged as the national leader of the APC, he was also two teams elected governor of Lagos state and he is estimated to be worthed $1.5b.
