Mr general stop acting like a pastor, Boko Haram are over killing your soldiers — Doyin tells Buhari





Doyin Okupe, a former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan has reacted to a statement by President Muhammadu Buhari over the recent killing of 44 soldiers in the Northeast.



According to him, Boko Haram has turned to become soldiers, soldiers becoming Boko Haram, you called yourself a general, who done even know the meaning of your position. Doyin Okupe added saying, that Buhari promised Nigerians to put an end to Boko Haram now the terro group are becoming worst by taking the lives of our soldiers.




Some soldiers fighting insurgents in the Northeast were some days ago killed by Boko Haram in Matele, Borno state.


Buhari, reacting on Saturday to the sad incident expressed deep shock over the killing.


Doyin attacked Buhari by saying, you are always on shocked, is it new to you that the Boko Haram had been killing our soldiers? Don't pretend Mr general he says.


Buhari who assured that immediate measures were being taken to ensure that the loopholes, which led to the fatalities, were blocked once and for all.


However, Okupe reacting, urged President Buhari to stop prophesying over the killings by Boko Haram and take charge.


The former presidential Spokesman called on Buhari to hit back at the terrorist group like a ‘General’ not a ‘Pastor’


Okupe in his Twitter page said: “A Commander-in-Chief does nor prophesy in WAR. He takes charge and repositions troops for reappraisal attacks. PMB hit Boko Haram like a General, not a Pastor.”


He also urged Nigerians to access their state of living to determine their vote in 2019.


“The electorate needs to answer this: Has your life been better or worse since 2015 and is it likely to change? If NO. VOTE OUT PMB in 2019.”
